CRUfit Privacy Policy

CRUfit takes your privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy is intended to ensure your information is handled in a safe and responsible manner.

What information does CRUfit collect? 

CRUfit gathers information, such as name, email address, mobile phone number, zip code and emergency contact when our customers set up an account or change their account information. We also request name, email address and mobile phone number when prospective customers set up a consultation with us to learn more about CRUfit. Customers who cycle with us may optionally give us their Functional Threshold Power (FTP) for the purposes of setting personalized training targets.

How do we use this information? 

When you set up or update your CRUfit account, you may choose whether you wish to opt in for us to communicate with you via email and/or text. If you opt in, we will email or text you: i.) updates on your account status and schedule; and ii.) CRUfit news, special offers, programs, promotions, and general company information. If you do not wish to receive these emails and/or texts, you will have the option to opt out of future mailings or texts (see section below). We may also use your information to compile usage statistics and other data regarding the use of the website services we offer our members. Prospect contact information is used solely for coordinating an initial meeting or call for them to learn more about CRUfit. Customer FTP data is used solely for setting personalized training targets in our cycling classes. We will not share your personally identifiable information with third parties, outside of the limited circumstances referenced in the paragraph immediately below. 

How do we use your email and mobile phone number? 

We collect email and mobile phone information to provide a more personalized and relevant experience for our members as described above. If you would like to opt out of receiving promotional emails or texts, simply click on the unsubscribe link located on the bottom of any of our emails or texts or update your account information through our website. Although we strive to update our email list as frequently as possible, you might receive another contact before we are able to remove your name from our list.

If you have previously opted out of receiving emails and/or texts from us and wish to reverse this decision, please contact us. We’ll be happy to add your name back on our list to receive electronic communications.

CRUfit never sells or rents your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information to third parties. We only share user information in the ways described below: 

Agents: We do, from time to time, employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Some examples include website maintenance, sending postal mail and email, removing outdated and repetitive information from member lists, analyzing club data, and providing marketing assistance. These agents may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. 

Protection of CRUfit: We release account and other personal information when we believe the release to be necessary to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Performance Max, Inc. (our corporation), our users, members, affiliates, partners, or others. This can include exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection. 

Does this Privacy Policy apply to external links found on our websites? 

Our sites may contain links to other sites. Please note that when you click on one of these links, you are “clicking away” from CRUfit and visiting another website. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of these linked sites, as their privacy policies may differ from ours. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.
